At first glance, visitors in the library building will notice the new entrance are, the Avenue. But changes are also visible in the library itself.
Information area
The information area itself has been rearranged. The circulation desk can now be separated, and the reading lounge has been given its own area.

As before, we have new fiction on display in the new information area. But as we do not sell these, and rather lend them out, this area is now called Best-Readers. Together with changing, themed exhibitions, the Best-Readers are prominently displayed at the reading lounge.

Reading room
In the reading room, the 30-year-old shelves have made way for a new version on wheels. This required moving approximately 9000 meters of media from the old shelves to the new ones. In addition, the signature labeling was redesigned and optimised. The carpet on which the shelves stand is also all new.

All new acquisitions are now displayed clearly and in one place in the new acquisitions shelf in the east wing of the ground floor of the reading room under the name "New at HSG library".
